Rough Flight, Good Day

So, after shedding a few tears (yes, I cried a little) I took off on my great European adventure. I've never been off the continent and was a little anxious about the flight. It was dreadful....and I know seven hours isn't that bad, but I don't think I'm much of a flyer. I met up with some other people in the program, and we navigated Charles De Gaulle airport together. At that point, it was my bedtime, but the day had just begun in France. In Montpellier, they didn't have my luggage! Air France left it in Paris...but they did supply me with a tee shirt and toiletry kit.
I've met a lot of people, there are a lot more in the program than I had anticipated, but everyone is nice. I slept off most of the jet lag, so I'm feeling a lot better today. Oh, and I have my luggage!
I've been to the city center, Place de Comedie, twice now, and it's impressive! So many people, so many dogs. It's all really beautiful, and it feels a lot like southern California. We've been handling a lot of business today....kind of tired, looking forward to the rest of the evening.

Until later,
I'm alive and well,

Becca
